I signed up for the Tuesday ABO session, but I need to be in the Sunday session. Can I be switched to the other class?
We cannot guarantee space will be available in the alternate class. Reach out to Kelsey@optical-nerd.com to see if arrangements can be made.
If I cannot attend a class is there a make-up option?
We cannot guarantee a make-up session is available. Reach out to Kelsey@optical-nerd.com to see if arrangements can be made.
How long do I have access to the Optical Nerd materials with my ABO Live Session membership?
Four months. While the live sessions themselves take three weeks to complete, you have access to all the materials for four months so you can continue to practice and review what you have learned leading up to your ABO exam.
What resources do I get with the Live ABO Session membership?
In addition to the live classes, you get access to:
– 30 daily practice quizzes
– Additional study resources, such as: student guide, flashcards, and quick reference guides for various topics including ANSI standards, formulas, dispensing, etc.
– You may contact the Optical Nerd team at any time with any ABO related questions you may have.
3 hours is a long time, do I really need to attend the whole thing?
Yes. 3 hours is a long time, but we are fitting in lots of information! It is important to attend the full session for the best course results. We do send out a link after each session to the class recording so you can review the information again as needed, but watching the recording will NOT count as attending the class.
Does the Course Completion Evaluation need to be completed at work?
No. The Course Completion Evaluation MUST be completed at home (non-working hours).
How long does the Course Completion Evaluation take?
About 60 to 90 minutes.
Can I take the Course Completion Evaluation more than once like the practice quizzes?
No. The Course Completion Evaluation can only be taken ONCE and must be taken in one sitting, or the form will time out and your test will be logged as incomplete.
